Lyft now provides service to all of Clark County and Pahrump, officials with the ride-hailing company said Thursday.
Lyft had primarily served the Las Vegas Valley when state regulators allowed ride-hailing companies to operate in Nevada in September 2015. The company has now expanded into the rural areas of Southern Nevada, company spokeswoman Victoria Pomo said.
The announcement comes amid Lyft’s national expansion, with 40 states covering 94 percent of the U.S. population now having some type of service, Pomo said.
To mark the announcement, Lyft is offering a $5 discount to first-time riders with the code LYFTLOVE17.
