5 things you should do in Las Vegas next week

Jennifer Lopez

You can see the two extremes of the Jennifer Lopez fashion scale this month, and let's just say "All I Have," her Planet Hollywood production show, is not the one where she dressed down and crops her hair (that would be her new NBC cop drama, "Shades of Blue"). J-Lo's "Dance Again" tour had 62 wardrobe changes, so see if she can hit 63 at 9 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday (with more shows through Feb. 9) at Planet Hollywood. Tickets are $59-$219; call 855-234-7469.

Adult Awards and Expo

If you thought feature-length porn flicks had gone the way of newspapers in the Internet age, news flash: We're both still around and quite exciting. The annual AVN Awards, the Oscars of the porn world, return Saturday to end the suspense of whether "Night at the Erotic Museum" or "American Whore Story" will win Best Parody. The awards are 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hard Rock Hotel; tickets are $175-$300. They are part of the annual AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, which runs from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $80-$120 at avnexpo.eventbrite.com.

Europe

You knew that bombastic '80s-tacular keyboard riff, but would you have remembered the band was called Europe if not for that Geico commercial? You sure didn't know what they looked like. Now that you do, see them with War of Kings at 8 p.m. Saturday at Hard Rock Live on the Strip. Tickets are $30-$50; call 702-733-7625.

Morris Day and The Time

How do you measure fame in Las Vegas? Maybe by whether you have an impersonator or tribute act. If so, Morris Day and The Time pass, thanks to their representation in the "Purple Reign" show. But you can see the real deal demand his mirror at 8 p.m. Saturday at Sam's Town. Tickets are $27-$43; call 702-284-7777.

Hal Sparks

Back when he worked the old Las Vegas Hilton and the Riviera, comedian Hal Sparks joked that it was in his contract he would play Vegas only if he followed singing impressionists. But out in the suburbs he has eased up on that demand, bringing his stand-up to the Rocks Lounge at Red Rock Resort at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $29-$39; call 800-745-3000.
