Andy Dick arrested on felony grand theft charges

LOS ANGELES — Actor Andy Dick was arrested on suspicion of felony grand theft on Friday night in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County jail records.

Dick was taken into custody after 11 p.m. and released Saturday around 5 a.m. after posting $25,000 bail.

The comedian, who’s best known for his long-running stint on NBC’s “NewsRadio” and his MTV sketch comedy “The Andy Dick Show,” reportedly stole a necklace last week. According to TMZ, he rode off on his bike with a man’s $1,000 necklace after he stopped the stranger on the street to ask to see his chain.

The owner reported the theft, but Dick wasn’t found until Friday.

Dick was previously booked on suspicion of public intoxication in 2011 and arrested on suspicion of sexual battery and drug possession in 2008.
