5 places to celebrate International Waffle Day in Las Vegas

International Waffle Day is today, but you don’t have to bother making batter.

Duck confit, root vegetable brunoise, poached eggs and sauce maltaise top this waffle that’s available only during brunch, $19.

Waffle Bar, Grand Bazaar Shops— Berry Delight

Topped with strawberries, this is among the varieties of authentic Belgian waffles made with pearl sugar, just as the prince-bishop originally requested, $7.99 to $10.99.

Yardbird, The Venetian— Chicken ‘n’ Watermelon ‘n’ Waffles

A Vermont sharp cheddar cheese waffle (also available a la carte) is served with chicken, honey hot sauce, chilled spiced watermelon and bourbon maple syrup, $36.

Hexx, Paris Las Vegas — Cinnaroll waffle

Four mini cinnamon rolls are baked in a waffle iron and topped with cream cheese frosting, $13.95.

Pot Liquor, Town Square — Pulled pork and waffles

Part of the restaurant’s smokehouse-influenced brunch, it features spiced apple compote and bourbon-barrel-aged maple syrup and is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, $12.98, or $19.98 with an endless bellini, mimosa or bloody mary.
