California Pizza Kitchen plans to host a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada March 23 at all of its Las Vegas Valley locations. Patrons will receive a Pizza with a Purpose flier at the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s March 21 Walk for Wishes event at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and 20 percent of their check will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada on March 23 from open to close.

WIENERMOBILE MAKING ITS WAY TO LAS VEGAS VALLEY

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is scheduled to be in the Las Vegas Valley March 19-22 as part of a tour of the Southwest.

The schedule for the Las Vegas stop is: noon to 5 p.m. March 19, Smith’s, 4001 S. Decatur Blvd.; noon to 5 p.m. March 20, Smith’s, 8180 Las Vegas Blvd. South; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 21, Smith’s, 3013 W. Craig Road; 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 21, Smith’s, 2255 Las Vegas Blvd. North; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 22, Smith’s, 3602 E. Bonanza Road; and 2 to 5 p.m. March 22, Smith’s, 4965 E. Sahara Ave.

A free Wienermobile app is available to inform fans about its location. At each stop, Wiener Whistles will be handed out and the new app will be demonstrated for smartphones and tablets.

LAS VEGAS RESTAURANT WEEK SET FOR JUNE 15-26

Las Vegas Restaurant Week is scheduled to raise funds for Three Square food bank June 15-26, when participating restaurants around the valley will feature prix fixe menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner ranging in price from $20.15 to $50.15. A fixed portion of each meal’s cost will be donated to Three Square to help alleviate hunger in the valley.

The summer restaurant week will replace the previously scheduled separate spring and fall events. Restaurant owners and chefs are encouraged to register early to participate. To register, contact Kari Goldberg of Three Square at 702-664-3663, ext. 332, or email restaurantweek@threesquare.org.

MERCADITO ANNOUNCES WEEKLY TEQUILA DINNERS, COOKING DEMOS

Mercadito is hosting weekly Wednesday Tequila Dinners at Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd. The four-course dinner offers off-menu items paired with tequilas including anejo, blanco and reposado variations.

The cost is $36 per person with a minimum of two per table. Four menus will rotate weekly over three months.

The restaurant also plans to begin offering Cooking Demo Mondays April 13, with chefs demonstrating their skills as guests drink and dine.

Demonstrations are $45 per person, which includes a five-course meal with cocktails, question-and-answer session and recipes. Each event will begin at 6 p.m. with space limited to 30 to 40 people.

California Pizza Kitchen at Downtown Summerlin, 10345 Oval Park Drive, is offering happy hours from 3 to 6 p.m. and 8:30 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday in the bar and lounge areas with a selection of flatbreads, small bites and drink specials.

BELLAGIO ANNOUNCES CULINARY CLASSROOM LINEUP

Bellagio executive chef Edmund Wong plans to host the Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom, a series of interactive, two-hour cooking classes through Nov. 10. Wong and his culinary team will share ideas and techniques as they guide guests through the steps to creating a three-course meal. Classes will be held in the resort’s demonstration kitchen, Tuscany Kitchen.

EVENT TO HONOR LEGENDARY CHEF ANDRE ROCHAT MARCH 29

A special menu is planned for an event set to honor legendary Las Vegas chef Andre Rochat at 5:30 p.m. March 29 at Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at the Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Rochat will celebrate 35 years in Las Vegas in 2015. A team of chefs plan to create a one-night-only menu, showcasing the talents of each chef. LAZY DOG PLANS APRIL OPENING AT DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN

Southern California-based Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar plans to open its first location outside California in April at Downtown Summerlin, 1980 Festival Plaza Drive. The family-owned and operated group of restaurants offers made-from-scratch comfort food, classics and globally inspired dishes, along with a bar program. The restaurant will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
