EVENT TO HONOR LEGENDARY CHEF ANDRE ROCHAT MARCH 29

A special menu is planned for an event set to honor legendary Las Vegas chef Andre Rochat at 5:30 p.m. March 29 at Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at the Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Rochat will celebrate 35 years in Las Vegas in 2015. A team of chefs plan to create a one-night-only menu, showcasing the talents of each chef. MCCALL’S TO HOST CHARITY HAPPY HOURS AT STRATOSPHERE

McCall’s Heartland Grill in the Stratosphere, 2000 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to debut the Whiskey Bar in April, stocked with a selection of American-made bourbons and whiskeys. To kick it off, McCall’s plans to host a series of Celebrity Happy Hours. Each will feature a radio host, who will mix and mingle with the crowd from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Whiskey Bar. Each event is open to the public and will feature several whiskey drink and food specials. For each event, the Stratosphere plans to donate $1,000 on behalf of each radio host to the nonprofit organization of their choice.

HASH HOUSE A GO GO PLANS EASTER SPECIALS, COCKTAILS

Hash House A Go Go plans to offer Easter Sunday brunch specials until 5 p.m. April 5, including Lamb Chop Hash ($16.95) and Butterscotch Almond Pancake ($9.50). Roast Chicken Benny will be $15.95, and patrons can add a glass of champagne for $5 more.

ENCORE’S SINATRA SALUTES LATE SINGER WITH TASTING MENU

Sinatra at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, 3131 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to pay tribute to Frank Sinatra’s centennial year with a special four-course tasting menu April 9. The menu will be paired with signature cocktails featuring a variety of Jack Daniel’s whiskeys, known to be Sinatra’s drink of choice. Guiding diners through the experience will be Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey’s master distiller Jeff Arnett. Cocktails are scheduled for 6 p.m. in the restaurant’s outdoor garden.

The menu features an entree of prime beef filet mignon with black truffle potato gratin, organic cream spinach and a Jack Daniel’s-Madagascar pepper sauce. Each guest will receive a commemorative gift.

JAYDE FUZION MOVES TO AYCE SUSHI DINING

Jayde Fuzion has transformed its current space in the M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, into an all-you-can-eat sushi experience. Along with AYCE sushi, guests have their choice of a selection of Asian fusion dishes, whether dining tableside or at the sushi bar. New hours are from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Three AYCE menus also are available. Each menu comes with miso soup, edamame, pickled Asian cucumber salad and, for guests 21 or older, a carafe of sake. Menu selections are AYCE sushi and nigiri for $24.95, AYCE Jayde specialties for $24.95 and The Fuzion, which is AYCE sushi, nigiri and Jayde specialties for $32.95.

The AYCE sushi and nigiri menu includes 10 popular rolls such as spicy tuna, California, Lady Luck, Rainbow, Geisha, Spider, M Girl, Surf and Turf, Jayde and veggie roll, along with eight nigiri selections: ikura, hamachi, sake, hirame, unagi, maguro, albacore and ebi.

Jayde Fuzion specialties include pork and vegetable spring rolls, shrimp tempura, steamed barbecue pork buns, pan-fried pot stickers, crispy calamari, chicken lettuce wraps, honey-walnut prawns, beef and broccoli, crispy lemon chicken, Chinese fried rice, chow mein and spicy tofu.

MOCHIKO CHICKEN COLLABORATES WITH FORMER HAKKASAN CHEF

Mochiko Chicken, 2101 S. Decatur Blvd., is collaborating on menu items with executive chef Lloyd Bansil, who opened Hakkasan in 2013. Mochiko Chicken, which offers Hawaiian-influenced fried chicken tenders and chargrilled chicken bowls, is working with Bansil to expand its menu.

Owners Jerry Misa and Sandra Lenska opened the restaurant in 2014 after selling their award-winning fusion food truck Dragon Grille.

Motley Brews plans to host its fifth annual Great Vegas Festival of Beer from 3 to 7 p.m. April 11 in downtown Las Vegas near the Fremont East Entertainment District.

LAS VEGAS RESTAURANT WEEK SET FOR JUNE 15-26

Las Vegas Restaurant Week is scheduled to raise funds for Three Square food bank June 15-26, when participating restaurants around the valley will feature prix fixe menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner ranging in price from $20.15 to $50.15. A fixed portion of each meal’s cost will be donated to Three Square to help alleviate hunger in the valley.

MERCADITO ANNOUNCES WEEKLY TEQUILA DINNERS, COOKING DEMOS

Mercadito is hosting weekly Wednesday Tequila Dinners at Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd. The four-course dinner offers off-menu items paired with tequilas including anejo, blanco and reposado variations.

The cost is $36 per person with a minimum of two per table. Four menus will rotate weekly over three months.

The restaurant also plans to begin offering Cooking Demo Mondays April 13, with chefs demonstrating their skills as guests drink and dine.

BELLAGIO ANNOUNCES CULINARY CLASSROOM LINEUP

Bellagio executive chef Edmund Wong plans to host the Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom, a series of interactive, two-hour cooking classes through Nov. 10. Wong and his culinary team will share ideas and techniques as they guide guests through the steps to creating a three-course meal. Classes will be held in the resort’s demonstration kitchen, Tuscany Kitchen.
