Farmer Boys is vying to become your favorite casual eatery. The key words for this place are “farm fresh.” Everything is prepared as soon as it’s ordered. The award-winning burgers include the half-pound Farmer’s Burger with bacon and Thousand Island dressing. The cheeseburger is a quarter-pound, and the double cheeseburger is called The Bell Ringer. The Angus beef is hormone- and antibiotic-free. A veggie burger also is available. Salads and wraps start at about $6 and include salad choices of Cobb, char broiled chicken and chicken barbecue and a grilled chicken wrap and chicken barbecue ranch wrap. The last one includes a subtle barbecue sauce and tomato tortilla. Sandwiches start at $4.99 and include an old-fashioned BLT on white toast. The California BLT adds avocado. Melts include bacon turkey on grilled sourdough, tuna on grilled rye, patty melt on grilled rye and grilled ham and cheese on grilled white bread. Also on the menu are the flamed-broiled chicken club with Provolone, avocado and honey Dijon sauce on a wheat bun, the char broiled chicken on a grilled bun and four-piece chicken tenders. No casual eatery is complete without shakes. Farmer Boys offers them starting at $3.09 with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. It also has a Cookies ’N Cream shake. The Centennial Hills location seats about 75 and is family-friendly. Hours there are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
