When Sauce opened its doors in August, it continued the Italian tradition started by the location’s previous occupant, The Old Spaghetti Factory. The Mall Ring Circle location is now revamped and modernized as an Italian/American bistro and bar. From a romantic setting to the energized atmosphere of a sports bar, Sauce is a good choice for any dining occasion. Entrees include a five-cheese burger featuring American, Provolone, feta, Gorgonzola and cheddar cheeses; a California panini with chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and pesto mayonnaise; lasagna Bolognese with pasta, ricotta cheese, marinara and Bolognese sauce; and barbecue chicken pizza. There are also build-your-own pizza and pasta options that feature a selection of sauces and toppings. Plates range from $10 to $20. Appetizers, soups, salads and desserts also are available. In addition to the food, Sauce also hosts weekly entertainment: karaoke at 10 p.m. Fridays; live music at 9 p.m. Saturdays; and viewing parties for AMC’s “The Walking Dead” at 8 p.m. Sundays. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and the bar is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
