Life is Beautiful sets lineups, single-day tickets on sale Friday

Is Life more beautiful on Saturday or Sunday? You be the judge.

Organizers of the two-day Life is Beautiful festival Oct. 26 and 27 have announced single-day prices, and the first word on how more than 60 acts will be divided between the two days.

Single-day tickets are $95 general admission and $209.50 for VIP seats (before taxes and fees) and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster. (Two-day passes already are on sale at $159.50 for general admission and $349 for VIP).

The festival’s higher-profile acts break down as follows.

Saturday: Kings of Leon, Beck, Imagine Dragons, Pretty Lights, Alabama Shakes, Childish Gambino, Purity Ring, Big Gigantic, Dawes, Cults, Andrew McMahon and Earl Sweatshirt.

Sunday: The Killers, Vampire Weekend, Empire of the Sun, Passion Pit, Jurassic 5, Janelle Monae, Portugal The Man, The Joy Formidable, Danny Brown, Zedd and STS9.

The festival takes place downtown in an area roughly bordered by Las Vegas Boulevard and 10th Street to the east and west, and by Carson Avenue and E. Mesquite Ave. to the north and south.

The festival also has culinary, art and “learning” components, with different chefs and restaurants in residence each day, performances from Cirque du Soleil and other casino-based shows, and panels with entertainers and entrepreneurs.

Saturday’s music schedule also includes: Joey Bada$$, Capital Cities, Youngblood Hawke, ZZ Ward, Poolside, Family of the Year, Wallpaper, Nico Vega, Cayucas, Alpine, Chancellor Warhol, Children of the Night, Tink, The Dig, RNR, Ekoh, Shalvoy Music, Rusty Maples, Same Sex Mary, Beau Hodges Band, Crazy Chief, A Crowd of Small Adventures, DJ Zo, GoldBoot, Turner, Albi Loves Chicken Tenders.

Saturday art demonstrations or performances include: Human Nature, Recycled Percussion and Cirque du Soleil’s “Love,” “Mystere” and “Zarkana.”

Sunday’s music schedule also includes: Living Colour, Allen Stone, Haim, Smith Westerns, Twenty One Pilots, Robert DeLong, Five Knives, Wildcat! Wildcat!, The Kingston Springs, Cosmic Suckerpunch, Knocked Up Kids, Dreamers, Moondog Matinee, American Cream, The Dirty Hooks, Most Thieves, Kid Meets Cougar, DJ88, Sabriel, DJ Supra, HaleAmanO, Jordan Kate Mitchell, Joey Pero and His Band, Dusty Sunshine.

Sunday art demonstrations or performances include Jabbawockeez, “Million Dollar Quartet,” “Rock of Ages,” “Absinthe” and Cirque du Soleil’s “O,” “Zumanity” and “Michael Jackson One.”

Some chefs will only do demonstrations or have food offerings on a specific day, such as Tom Colicchio of “Top Chef” and Border Grill founders Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger on Saturday.

Both days include chef appearances or food booths from Michael Mina, Jet Tila, Todd English, Hubert Keller, Rick Moonen, Carla Pellegrino and Kerry Simon.
