Lady Gaga says she’ll be part of next season’s ‘America Horror Story’

LOS ANGELES — Lady Gaga will be returning for the next installment of “American Horror Story” — at least according to the superstar.

In an interview with New York City radio station Z100 on Friday morning, Gaga announced that she’ll be back for the the sixth round of the FX anthology series. When asked if she will return, the pop star simply answered: “Yes.”

She then added, “I can’t promise you how or when or anything like that.”

Variety has reached out to FX for comment, though the network has not replied or confirmed yet.

Gaga made her “American Horror Story” debut as The Countess on season 5. She won a Golden Globe for her work on the show, created by Ryan Murphy, and called the win “one of the greatest moments of my life.”

If Gaga does indeed return, it’s likely she will not reprise her role as The Countess, as “Horror Story,” being an anthology, keeps many of the same actors, but changes themes and characters from season-to-season. The award-winning show was renewed for season 6 back in November.

This past weekend, Gaga performed her domestic abuse-themed ballad “Til It Happens to You” at the Oscars with an emotional performance that received high praise. Many thought she was snubbed for not winning the Academy Award for best song, which went to Sam Smith.
