The 13-year-old boy was transported by Flight for Life helicopter to University Medical Center after being hit by a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche, according to police.

The crash occurred at 8:53 a.m. Wednesday on West Arby Avenue, just east of South Fort Apache Road, near Wet ’n’ Wild Las Vegas.

Police said the boy crossed into the street in front of the truck.
