Cellphone store robber strikes again

The man wanted in connection with a string of cellphone store robberies has committed three more robberies, Las Vegas police said.

The cellphone robber, dubbed as “Mr. Telephone Man” by Metro, was seen Oct. 24 at a cellphone store near Decatur Boulevard and Desert Inn Road about 5:30 p.m. He robbed two additional cellphone stores on Lamb Boulevard near Charleston Boulevard and Sahara Avenue about an hour later.

Police said he pointed a gun at employees and demanded money during each robbery, then fled.

The cellphone robber is said to be about 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighs about 220 to 260 pounds. He is described as having black hair, a mustache, brown eyes and a tattoo on his left arm. He was last seen wearing a blue cap, dark sunglasses, a dark, short-sleeve T-shirt and dark pants.

He is said to have committed previous cellphone robberies starting on Sept. 19 at 348 N. Nellis Blvd., a shopping center that hosts several businesses, including a Metro PCS. Police said he robbed four more stores within five days beginning Oct. 10. The robber was armed during each robbery, police said.
