Coroner identifies man stabbed to death Wednesday

The man who was stabbed to death Wednesday night in a west valley parking lot was identified Saturday by the Clark County coroner's office.

Christopher Schneider, 33, died of a stab wound to the chest. His death was ruled a homicide, the coroner's office said.

Police said there was an argument in the parking lot of a shopping center at 4160 S. Fort Apache Road, near West Flamingo Road, before Schneider was stabbed.

He was taken to University Medical Center where he died. Metro is looking for a man and woman who drove off after the stabbing.

Police described the man as in his 20s with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and dark pants. They described the woman as about 5-feet-5-inches tall with dark hair in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and jeans, police wrote in a release.

The pair left in a white, two-door sedan, possibly a Toyota Celica, with white trim and tinted windows.

This was the 104th homicide in Metro's jurisdiction this year. Anyone with information on the stabbing is asked to call Metro at 702-828-3521.
