Coroner ID’s motorcyclist killed on I-15

The man who died following a motorcycle crash Saturday morning on Interstate 15 has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

The motorcyclist, identified Sunday as Ronald Neil Serota, 53, of Las Vegas, was traveling on Interstate 15 when he hit a wall.

Serota was going south on Interstate 15, just south of Sahara Avenue about 8 a.m., when he hit the wall and was ejected from the motorcycle, Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Jason Buratczuk said.

A trooper arrived at the scene immediately after the accident happened and performed CPR on Serota until medical personnel had arrived on the scene, Buratczuk said.

Serota was riding a Harley Davidson and wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, according to NHP.
