Dining Pick of the Week: Authentic East Coast Eatery

600 W. Sunset Road, 558-5664

East Coast is anything east of Chicago, and you will feel comfortable here enjoying a signature sandwich on a hoagie roll. The Chicago-style Italian roast beef comes with au jus and spicy vegetables Giardiniera. Others include cheesy Italian roast beef with provolone, French dip, hot pastrami, Italian half and half (beef and sausage) and a true Italian hoagie with prosciutto, capicola, mortadella, salami, provolone, lettuce and bell peppers with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Hot and cold sandwiches are made with choice of thick-sliced white, sourdough, multi-grain, marble rye or wheat bread and feature meatball with mozzarella, Black Forest ham, turkey and roast beef, vegetarian, tuna or egg salad, roast beef and mortadella, or hard salami with provolone. All cold sandwiches are served with lettuce, tomato, mayo or mustard and onions. Among the hot dogs are chili cheese, jumbo quarter-pounder, Polish and Chicago with neon green relish, a pickle spear, a tomato wedge, onion, mustard and sport peppers. There is also macaroni or potato salad, chili, nachos and pizza. Signature sandwiches begin at $7.50 and hot dogs at $2. Authentic East Coast Eatery is open from
