Dining Pick of the Week: Bertolucci Brazilian Steakhouse

Bertolucci Brazilian Steakhouse

2895 N. Green Valley Parkway, north of Sunset Road; 702-458-0080

Bertolucci Brazilian Steakhouse owners Humberto Bertolucci and Patricia Corassini offer diners an authentic Brazilian steakhouse experience, which means an all-you-can-eat rodizio, a fixed price meal where waiters bring skewers of meat to the table for your dining pleasure. The lunch rodizio is served from noon to 3 p.m. and features top sirloin cap, tri-tip, pork loin, grilled chicken and bacon-wrapped chicken. The following meats are added for dinner: flank steak, lamb chop, leg of lamb, filet mignon and Brazilian sausage. A large salad bar has Caesar salad, chicken salad, fresh vegetables, Caprese salad, and cheese and fruit trays. Additional dishes change daily and include: lasagna Bolognese, eggplant lasagna, fried yucca, polenta, chicken Marsala, filet mignon tips, stuffed roast beef, stroganoff and feijoada, a national Brazilian meat and bean stew. Several desserts are Spumoni Bomb, passion fruit mousse and Brazilian flan. The full bar stars the Caipirinha made with cachaca, a distilled spirit made from sugarcane juice that is popular in Brazil. There is live entertainment on weekends and nightly karaoke where chef Bertolucci himself has been known to sing and entertain. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. The rodizio is $16.99 during weekday lunch and $25 on Saturday and Sunday. The dinner rodizio is $29.99. Bertolucci opens at noon daily.
