Dining Pick of the Week: Meatball Spot

Thanks to chef Carla Pellegrino, a meatball is not just a meatball anymore. Three large meatballs are served with a choice of sauce and toasted French bread. They include Classic (a blend of beef, pork and veal with Romano cheese), pork, beef, chicken, turkey or vegetarian. Sandwiches include the 8-ounce Meatball Burger on a brioche bun, along with sliders and heroes. Salads feature Chopped with tomatoes, red onion, roasted corn, cucumbers, avocado and chipotle vinaigrette. Other choices include Classic Caesar, Caprese, tomato and cucumber with feta and Kalamata olives, strawberry balsamic, spinach and fennel, baby arugula, and Garbage with romaine, salami, pepperoni, mozzarella, provolone and avocado with herb vinaigrette. There are Roman-style pizzas and sides such as risotto, spaghetti and rigatoni, garlic mashed potatoes, garlic Parmesan fries and sautéed broccoli. Desserts feature gourmet ice cream sandwiches, gelato, sorbet and homemade milkshakes such as Birthday Cake, Cookie Explosion and Strawberry Shortcake.
