Dining Pick of the Week: RePete’s Bar & Grill

Pete and Geri Kypreos are repeating what they do so well: operating a friendly and bright tavern with a menu to match. Breakfast features three eggs with a choice of apple-smoked bacon, sausage, ham or pork chop. There are omelets, pancakes, breakfast burritos and chorizo hash with three eggs and home fries. Entrees include house special beef tips, roasted half chicken, shrimp scampi, linguini tomato basil, ginger salmon, ground sirloin with mushrooms and onions, dill salmon and roasted turkey breast with redskin whipped potatoes. There are top sirloin hamburgers such as mushroom Swiss, Breakfast (fried egg, bacon, cheese) and Pete’s with double American cheese and grilled onions. Other sandwiches are veggie burger, chicken or steak pita, Monte Cristo and Cuban or turkey panini. The menu has pizzas, salads (Caesar, Greek, wedge, Asian, roasted vegetable) and appetizers, starring grape leaves, Pete’s Greek meatballs, calamari fries and tacos on soft corn tortillas with cabbage, salsa and avocado with choice of chicken, fish or chorizo hash and egg. Happy Hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. and midnight to 3 a.m. with half-price appetizers and pizzas. Breakfast starts at $6.50, and entrees begin at $9.50. RePete’s is open 24/7.
