A member of Troop 422, he built recycling bins for Lake Mead National Recreation Area for his Eagle project.

Andrew is a member of the YMCA swim team and enjoys participating in triathlons and playing basketball.

He attends Escobedo Middle School and is the son of Jack and Kimberly Christensen of Las Vegas.

John Schmitt II has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2009 graduate of Bonanza High School, Schmitt is the son of Tanya White of Las Vegas.

Kiara Pollard has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Pollard earned distinction as an honor graduate.

She is the daughter of Rob Pollard and Felicia Pollard, both of Las Vegas.

Nicholas Garcia has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2009 graduate of Clark High School, he is the son of Danilo and Yvonne Garcia of Las Vegas.

Christopher Redmond has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2010 graduate of Arbor View High School, Redmond is the son of Christopher Redmond of Las Vegas and Michele Redmond of Radcliff, Ky.

Korey McConnell has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2009 graduate of Shadow Ridge High School, McConnell is the son of Kevin and Pamala McConnell of Las Vegas.

Matthew Dillard has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2011 graduate of Silverado High School, Dillard is the son of Jennifer Bleau of Las Vegas.

Kori Amacker of Henderson has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 quarter at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga.

Haley Roberts has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Roberts graduated in 2010 from Legacy High School in North Las Vegas.

Jourdan Lasko of Henderson has been named to the dean’s list at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga., for the fall 2011 quarter.

David Hoffman of Henderson has been named to the dean’s list at Biola University in La Mirada, Calif.

Kirsten Lynch has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio.

Lynch is the daughter of Andrew and Julie Lynch of Las Vegas.
