For his Eagle project, he helped put together quilting kits for Eagle Quest of Nevada.

Tippetts enjoys sports, swimming and riding ATVs.

He is the son of Ray and Leslie Tippetts of Las Vegas.

Joshua Dean Millard has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.

For his Eagle project, he helped plant 600 plants at the Springs Preserve.

He enjoys paintball, video games, music, hiking, camping and watching movies.

Millard is the son of Mark and Christine Millard of Las Vegas.

Craig Whiting has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.

For his Eagle project, he transcribed approximately 530 tombstones at Woodlawn Cemetery for the USGenWeb Census Project.

A member of Troop 375, he enjoys tennis, volleyball, wakeboarding and carpentry.

Whiting is the son of Craig and Lucy Whiting of Las Vegas.

Ryan M. Prisbrey has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2002 graduate of Las Vegas High School, he is the son of Debra Prisbrey of Las Vegas.

David A. Cook has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2010 graduate of Northwest Career and Technical Academy, he is the son of David and Candace Cook of Las Vegas.

Angelica Perez has graduated from Army basic combat training at Fort Lawton in Oklahoma.

Perez is the daughter of Enrique Perez of Las Vegas.

Rachel Evans of Las Vegas has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at Villanova University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Villanova, Pa.

Evans is a sophomore at the university.

Elizabeth Phillips of North Las Vegas was named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga.

Phillips is seeking a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in production design.

Ryan R. Hurtado has graduated from Army basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.

Hurtado is the son of Arturo Hurtado of Las Vegas.

Ainsley Osawa, 13, attended the National Junior Tennis & Learning Tennis Leadership Camp in July in Sonoma, Calif.

The weeklong camp, run by the United States Tennis Association, is an all-expenses paid trip for 40 underprivileged kids from around the country.

In addition to rigorous tennis play, the camp also focuses on cultural, community and volunteer events.
