Street reopens after gas leak in downtown Las Vegas

Updated September 20, 2017 - 11:57 am

A gas leak temporarily shut down some traffic near downtown Las Vegas Wednesday morning.

Southbound North Bruce Street was closed as crews repaired a gas leak that was reported to Southwest Gas about 9 a.m.

A person reported hitting a 2-inch gas line, Southwest Gas spokeswoman Sonya Headen said. The gas line was secured and there were no outages, injuries or evacuations, she said.

The closure included the intersection of North Bruce Street and Gragson Avenue, which reopened about 11 a.m.
