Small and large plates menu at downtown Las Vegas’ Glutton makes overindulgence a challenge

Las Vegas is known for its sins, and gluttony is definitely one of them.

However, it is possible to satisfy food cravings while remaining classy and dignified.

While customers can indulge at American restaurant Glutton, 616 E. Carson Ave., Suite 110, overindulging is a different story. The tactfully crafted menu doesn’t entirely reflect the nature of the name — and that’s OK.

Opened in April 2015, the eatery’s exposed ceilings and concrete flooring creates an industrialized, modern atmosphere and a unique, elegant style. Owner and chef Bradley Manchester’s heavy focus on high quality ingredients is apparent in each dish.

Offered in a variety of small and large plates, Glutton serves appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees and more. For brunch, diners can order pastries; ahi tuna tacos (served with sweet chili, yuzu guacamole, frisee and pickled Fresno pepper); apple pie waffles (topped with whipped cream, almond streusel and salted caramel bourbon sauce); and smoked chicken hash (with two eggs, roasted jalapeno hollandaise and Texas toast).

Lunch includes Japanese street corn (topped with miso butter and chives); steak salad (kale and arugula tossed with frisee, red onion, blue cheese, hazelnuts and mushrooms with white balsamic vinegar); zucchini Parmesan (served with burrata, basil aioli, arugula, tomatoes and Parmigiano-Reggiano); and Glutton fried rice (mixed with kimchi, cucumber, scallion and kalbi rib-eye).

For dinner, the restaurant serves dishes, such as pork rinds (topped with cayenne and cheddar); pastrami salmon flatbread (topped with tomato caper relish, cracked mustard cream cheese and red onion); calamari fries (tossed with Sriracha mayo, eel sauce and crushed peanuts); and garganelli (served with smoked chicken, caramelized onion, ancho garlic cream and Parmesan).

Glutton is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; dinner from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
