Interstate 15 has reopened near the Las Vegas Boulevard exit after a man threatened to jump from the overpass just north of the speedway.
NHP received a call about 1:41 p.m. to reports of a man sitting on the freeway overpass, just north of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He surrendered to North Las Vegas police about 3 p.m. and was taken into custody.
Negotiators were out on scene to talk the man, who appears to be in his 30s, out of harming himself.
