Las Vegas morning update for Friday, September 15th — VIDEO

Here are your Friday morning headlines:

1. A woman was arrested Thursday morning in connection with the 2013 death of a “Star Trek: The Experience” actor. Kelleen Cota was arrested after an old bullet was found in the table the actor was found sitting next to. She is being held at Clark County Detention center without bail on suspicion of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit murder.

2. The Clark County school board approved almost $14 million in cuts on Thursday, eliminating nearly 315 jobs. About 272 positions and various services will be eliminated, saving roughly $7 million to $13.9 million. CCSD is dealing with a $50 million to $60 million deficit, and approved up to $43 million in cuts last month.

3. Tempers flared yesterday at the Stadium Authority meeting as the meeting was opened to public comment concerning the Raiders’ community benefits plan. The plan spells out how the Raiders’ stadium contractors will distribute a percentage of subcontracts to small and qualified minority-owned businesses. Chairman Steve Hill said the Raiders are open to receiving suggestions on the benefits plan, but the plan is not subject to negotiation.
