Las Vegas morning update for Wednesday, September 13th — VIDEO

Here are your Wednesday morning headlines:

1. A Welsh tourist is grabbing international media attention for his drunken swim at the Hoover Dam last month. Authorities say Arron Hughes climbed down the rocks on the dam’s Arizona side and swam across the reservoir. Authorities issued a citation for Hughes and said that the act could’ve easily killed the man.

2. A Las Vegas court baliff drowned earlier this month after tubing in Southeast Idaho. William Dathyn was floating on Bear River when his tube deflated and he was pulled into the rapids. Dathyn was pulled from the river by his family but attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful.

3. A man spitting near the entrance of a 7-Eleven led to a deadly shooting Sunday night. Police say three men got into an altercation with the store owner after David Barron spat near the entrance of the store. The three men returned armed with knives and tried to jump behind the counter. The store owner shot David Barron multiple times, and the two others, Eric and Richard Ball, were booked on attempted robbery charges.
