Motorcyclist dead after North Las Vegas crash

A 22-year-old motorcyclist is dead after a crash with a semitractor at East Carey Avenue and Marion Drive at about 1:35 p.m. Friday.

A 1993 International semitractor was making a left turn from west to south, while a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling west, approaching the left-turning semi from the rear, police said.

As the semitractor made the left turn, the motorcycle rider overturned the bike and slid into the driver’s side of the semitractor, according to Metropolitan Police Department.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semitractor’s 25-year-old driver showed no signs of impairment.
