Motorcyclist, driver of sedan die in central Las Vegas crash

Updated September 27, 2017 - 2:51 am

Las Vegas police are investigating a crash that killed two men Tuesday night in the central valley.

The crash was called in just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warm Springs Road and Bruce Street, near Spencer Street, according to Metropolitan Police Lt. David Gordon.

Gordon said the 21-year-old motorcyclist and the 43-year-old driver of the car both died at the scene.

Police said the motorcycle was speeding west on Warm Springs when it collided with a Honda Civic, which was turning left from Paradise Bay Drive onto Warm Springs.

Officers at the scene comforted a woman sitting on the sidewalk and crying. Beyond the police tape, a charred motorcycle sat overturned in front of a white two-door sedan.

Their deaths mark the 97th and 98th traffic fatalities Metro has investigated this year.

The Clark County Coroner’s office will identify the men who died after their next of kin are notified.
