Pedestrian struck by vehicle, expected to survive

A pedestrian was expected to survive after being hit by a vehicle in the east valley Saturday night, Las Vegas police said.

The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center, Metro Lt. Jeff Goodwin said. The person's age and gender was not available.

First responders were called at 6:45 p.m. to the intersection of Lamb Boulevard and Wyoming Avenue, he said.

The driver was cooperating with police who were still there about 8:15 p.m., Goodwin said.

Initially, police said the pedestrian had been critically injured.
