Two arrested in connection with stabbing in Strip parking garage

Two people were arrested in connection with the stabbing of a woman inside a hotel parking garage, according to Las Vegas police.

Stanley Rodriguez, 26, and Mary Robertson, 25, were booked on Wednesday and Sunday, respectively, on charges including attempted murder, second degree kidnapping and robbery with a deadly weapon.

Khae Saetern called police at 5:30 a.m. on March 26 from the New York-New York garage, where she was bleeding from knife wounds to her face and arm.

Saetern told police that Rodriguez was a “pimp of a friend of hers” in Oakland, Calif. and contacted her through Instagram, accusing her of owing him money. She told him he had the wrong girl and she did not owe him anything.

Surveillance footage showed Rodriguez, Robertson and an unidentified female watching Saetern in a bar in the hotel, then following her to the parking garage, police said.

Saetern told police she got into her car and noticed a white BMW drive up behind, blocking her in. Rodriguez left the BMW and got in her car from the passenger side. He took her keys and purse.

Robertson, who Saetern recognized as a prostitute from Oakland, Calif., walked up to Saetern’s side of the car with a knife, Saetern told police. Rodriguez slashed Saetern’s face and Robertson made cuts to her arm.

Saetern was taken to University Medical Center and treated for her injuries.

The arrest report revealed that Rodriguez has a lengthy criminal history.
