Warm temps for Wednesday, but cool down coming to Las Vegas Valley

Las Vegas temperatures will peak Wednesday before cooling down for a stormy weekend, the National Weather Service said.

Wednesday’s high temperature of 82 degrees with a low of 62 degrees, National Weather Service meteorologist John Adair said.

Thursday’s is expected to have a high temperature of 79 degrees with a low of 59 degrees, he said. After Thursday, when a storm system is coming in, temperatures will cool, with Friday’s high expected to be 69, meteorologist Nathan Foster said.

The incoming storm is not expected to bring rain to the Las Vegas Valley, but the Spring Mountains will likely get some showers, Foster said. However, the storm is expected to bring high winds.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from, “midnight Thursday to 5 p.m. Saturday,” Adair said. Wind gusts may exceed 40 mph.

Saturday is expected to have a high temperature of 77 degrees and Sunday’s high is expected to be 79 degrees, the weather service said.
