Austin Pfeifer’s three-run double in the bottom of the sixth broke a 4-4 tie and lifted Arbor View’s baseball team to a 7-4 home win over Palo Verde on Thursday.
Pfeifer went 2-for-3 with four RBIs, and Niles Scafati was 3-for-4 with a double, two two runs and an RBI for the Aggies. John Edwards and Ryan Lystlund each added two hits for Arbor View.
Scafati allowed a run on two hits in three innings of relief to get the win.
Jaret Godman went 2-for-3 with a run for the Panthers.
Coronado 6, Las Vegas 4 — At Las Vegas, Braeden Ewing smacked a two-run double in the seventh to help lift the Cougars over the Wildcats.
Jake McLean had two hits for Coronado, and Boston Mabeus and Taylor Darden each hit a double for the Cougars.
Leonel Anaya belted a two-run home run to lead Las Vegas.
Chaparral 6, Western 5 — At Chaparral, Talon Green scored on a wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give the Cowboys the win over the Warriors.
Greene was hit by a pitch with one out, the first of three hit batters in the inning to load the bases.
Greene hit a two-run triple in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game and force extra innings.
Western pitchers had just one walk but combined to hit nine batters.
Tyler Matthews went 3-fro-4 with three RBIs for the Warriors.
Del Sol 8, Cheyenne 7 — At Del Sol, winning pitcher Chandler Miller was 3-for-4 with a triple, double and two RBIs as the Dragons edged the Desert Shields.
Jose Galicia was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Bradley Walton doubled for Del Sol.
Zach Childress doubled, and Jon Mahoney was 3-for-4 for Cheyenne.
Cimarron-Memorial 8, Shadow Ridge 5 — At Shadow Ridge, Daniel Valdivia was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and three RBIs as the Spartans beat the Mustangs to win the three-game series.
Elie Kligman was 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI, and Trevor Doyle, Zach Culver and Cameron Stafford each added two hits for Cimarron.
Jax Holzem went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs for Shadow Ridge.
Kristian Saldana was 3-for-4 with two runs, and Branson Tressler had two hits for the Mustangs.
Tech 7, Mojave 4 — At Tech, Jason Collingbourne was 2-for-4 with a three-run double, and earned a four-out save as the Roadrunners defeated the Rattlers.
Sean Morgan and Adrian Perez each supplied an RBI single for Tech, which scored six runs in the fourth to take control.
Rudy Fernandez supplied a double and two runs to pace Mojave.
Desert Pines 6, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Steven Laureano went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and pitched 6⅔ shutout innings to lead the Jaguars over the Pirates.
Laureano allowed five hits, struck out eight and walked three.
Salvador Becerra went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Raymond Minero was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI for Desert Pines.
Hunter Wrzesinksi went 3-for-4 for Moapa Valley.
Centennial 15, Legacy 3 — At Legacy, Kris Bow was 2-for-3 with a double, a run and four RBIs to lead the Bulldogs over the Longhorns in five innings.
Mike Jones and Nik Dobar each went 2-for-3 with a run, and Zachary Hare went 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs for Centennial.
Garrett Holden pitched three scoreless innings with four strikeouts to get the win.
Zach Ahmed wen 2-for-2 with a double for Legacy, which scored all three runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Faith Lutheran 10, O’Gorman (S.D.) — At Faith Lutheran, Jacob Ortega was 3-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs as the Crusaders beat the Vikings in five innings.
Dylan Schafer went 2-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.
Boulder City 14, Sunrise Mountain 3 — At Boulder City, the Eagles scored 11 runs in the third and defeated the Miners in five innings.
Teddy Lobkowicz went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs to lead Boulder City. D.J. Reese was 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBIs for the Eagles.
Troy Connell threw 4⅔ innings of hitless relief to pick up the win. He struck out six with no walks.
Cecil Hall doubled and drove in two runs for Sunrise Mountain.
Desert Oasis 16, West Jordan (Utah) 2 — At College of Southern Nevada, Jake Sharman and Jordan DeMarce each doubled and had two RBIs as the Diamondbacks routed the Jaguars in five innings at the Desert Classic.
Izzy Gutierrez went 3-for-3 for the Diamondbacks with three RBIs.
Chaison Micklich pitched four one-hit innings for Desert Oasis, and Dustin Mansell struck out two in his inning of work.
Pleasant Grove (Utah) 14, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Ty Barker went 3-for-4 with a homer and five RBIs to lead the Vikings over the Patriots in the Desert Classic.
Jaxon Brown was 4-for-4 with a homer, three runs and three RBIs, and Staley Hangsmen homered for Pleasant Grove.
Andrew Gallegos went 2-for-2 with a double for Liberty.
