Roundup: Carson Balistere helps Eagles fend off Miners

Carson Balistere scored 22 points Monday as Boulder City’s boys basketball team defeated host Sunrise Mountain, 61-56.

Derrick Thomas scored nine points for the Eagles, who outscored Sunrise Mountain 19-9 in the first quarter.

Tyree Hayes led the Miners with 20 points, and teammate Stephen Adeyemi scored 19.

Arbor View 76, Basic 45 — At Arbor View, Jarrod Burks led the Aggies with 16 points as they defeated the Wolves.

Arbor View’s Comillion Smith scored 15 points, and Donovan Yap and Favor Chukwukelu each scored 10 for the Aggies.

Peter Nelson led Basic with 16 points.

Las Vegas 70, Western 35 — At Las Vegas, Donovan Joyner led all scorers with 29 points as the Wildcats rolled past the Warriors.

Zach Matlock added 10 points for Las Vegas, which outscored Western 22-7 in the second quarter to take a 35-14 halftime lead.
