Outlook: The Eagles reached the postseason in back-to-back years for the first time in program history, so momentum is on their side even with a new coach. But graduation took its toll, and Lake Mead will be looking at a brand new squad in 2018.

Auschwitz will looked upon as a sophomore to provide some play-making, and White and Dolinar will help whoever wins the quarterback battle in under center with their receiving abilities.

The Southern League remains tough, as Democracy Prep leaving to 3A was the only realignment to hit the league, though Needles and Lincoln County remain powerhouses.

“We are looking decent but we are young,” Barnett said. “I am very surprised at how well they have picked up the new offense and new defense.”
