Roundup: Rancho earns five-set win over Legacy

Jan Duhaylungsod had 30 assists, nine digs and five blocks to propel Rancho’s girls volleyball team to a 20-25, 25-18, 25-13, 21-25, 15-7 home win over Legacy on Tuesday night.

Angelina Robles supplied 12 kills and nine digs, andMia Suzuki added 16 digs for the Rams.

Jazmyne Walker had 25 kills and 17 digs for Legacy, and Juliette Kirk had 37 assists and 20 digs for the Longhorns.

Centennial 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Chlose Geiman had 11 kills and 10 digs, and Brooke Miller provided 10 kills and 13 digs for the Bulldogs in their 25-16, 21-25, 25-16, 25-17 victory over the Desert Shields.

Elaina Young had three aces and 15 digs for Centennial.

Laurin Carlton had eight digs, and Miya Burns had nine kills and 12 digs for Cheyenne.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Arbor View 1 — At Arbor View, Natasha Obradovic had 22 kills, 17 digs and two aces as the Spartans rallied to top the Aggies, 21-25, 25-23, 26-24, 26-24.

Destiny Garcia added 42 assists and 20 digs, and teammate Andrea Aldaco had 34 digs for Cimarron.

Bailey Olbur led Arbor View with 17 kills and five blocks. Alina Oranchak added 10 kills and 23 digs, and Kennedy Presser had eight kills and five blocks for the Aggies, who got 33 assists from Sadae Cintron.

Desert Pines 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, the the Jaguars worked their way to a 25-23, 25,13, 25-17 victory.

Amber Castro had two kills, 12 assists, three aces and four digs for Eldorado.

Faith Lutheran 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Isabelle Guerrero had six kills and six aces as the Crusaders rolled to a 25-5, 25-11, 25-16 win over the Pioneers.

Kyrie Lorfing added 13 assists, and Ellie Fried had five kills for Faith Lutheran.

Jeanette Fine led Canyon Springs with four kills and two digs.

Ja’Nasia Spand added three kills, and Tyra Caliva had five assists for the Pioneers.

Las Vegas 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Skyla Faught had 10 kills, 14 digs and three aces as the Wildcats beat the Bengals, 25-12, 25-16, 25-15.

Brooklyn Stone added 25 assists, 10 digs and two aces, and Victoria Barney had nine kills and 13 digs for Las Vegas.

Nicole Degro led Bonanza with 14 assists and four aces. Samantha Alvarado added 15 digs for the Bengals.

Palo Verde 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Palo Verde, Arien Fafard had nine kills and 25 assists to lead the Panthers to a 25-23, 25-18, 25-15 victory over the Mustangs.

Mia Sadler had 25 disg for Palo Verde, and Alyssa Hewitt and Elizabeth Gutierrez had six kills apeice for the Panthers.

Alysha Smith had 10 kills, and Braedyn Peters had 18 digs for Shadow Ridge.

Liberty Baptist 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At SLAM Academy, Jade Halverson had eight kills, 11 aces and 18 digs to lead the Knights over the Sidewinders.

Kelsey Guardiola added seven kills, four aces and 22 digs, and teammate Jalia Halverson had eight aces, 15 digs and two kills.

Lake Mead 2-2, Adelson School 0-0 — At Lake Mead, the Eagles cruised to the doubleheader sweep, winning 25-12, 25-17 and 25-6, 25-14.

Bishop Gorman dismissed Reno in three sets before Centennial survived a five-setter against Bishop Manogue to set up an All-Southern championship match.

Gorman sweeps Centennial for regional girls volleyball crown

Bishop Gorman won its fifth straight regional championship with a three-set win over Centennial. Both teams will play in the state tournament next week.
