Police looking for suspect in jewelry store robbery on Strip

Las Vegas police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who posed as a customer to steal jewelry from a business on the Strip.

The man police are looking for walked into a jewelry store about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday at the Fashion Show Mall, near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road, threatened an employee and demanded jewelry be placed in his bag. He filled the bag with "several jewelry items" and walked out of the store, police wrote in a release Thursday morning.

Police described the robber as a light-skinned black man 36 to 38 years old, 5-feet-10-inches tall and 160 pounds. He has a slight mustache and is unshaven, the release said.

He was last seen wearing a fur hat, blue sweater, blue jeans and black shoes.
