Zachary Beavor has completed six weeks of cadet basic training at the United States Military Academy West Point in West Point, N.Y.
Areas of instruction include first aid, mountaineering, hand grenades, rifle marksmanship and nuclear, biological and chemical training.
A 2012 graduate of Silverado High School, he attended UNLV his freshman year. Beavor began classes at West Point on Aug. 19 and plans to graduate in 2017 and be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army.
Beavor is the son of Christopher Beavor and Audra Rothkegel of Las Vegas.
Zachary Stoehr has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.
A 2011 graduate of Shadow Ridge High School, Stoehr is the son of Denise Stoehr of Las Vegas.
Lindsey Evans has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.
A 2012 graduate of Northwest Career and Technical Academy, Evans is the daughter of Cynthia Evans of North Las Vegas.
Jeremy Handy has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.
Handy is the son of Joel Handy of North Las Vegas and Kathy Hartshorn of Citrus Heights, Calif.
Kevin Sequeira has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.
A 2007 graduate of Bonanza High School, Sequeira is the son of Gary and Veronica Sequeira of Las Vegas.
De’Jean Rodgers has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.
A 2012 graduate of Northwest Career and Technical Academy, Rodgers is the son of Leo Rodgers of Las Vegas.
Patrice Wells has graduated from Army basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
A 2010 graduate of Las Vegas High School, Wells is the daughter of Tiffany Wells of Chicago.
Zachary Martin has graduated from the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Leader’s Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky.
A 2011 graduate of Nevada State High School in Henderson, Martin is a student at the University of Texas at El Paso.
Martin is the son of Jeremy and Leiisa Martin of North Las Vegas.
