Sons of Norway dinner: The 18th annual Lutefisk Dinner hosted by the Vegas Viking Lodge of the Sons of Norway is planned at 3 and 6 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Boulder City Elks Lodge. Tickets must be purchased by Jan. 22. The cost is $20 for adults and $5 for children 10 or younger. The menu is: lutefisk with melted butter or white sauce; roasted pork; boiled potatoes; peas and carrots; lefse (traditional soft Norwegian flatbread); coffee and iced tea; and Norwegian and other cookies. Aquavit, called the “water of life,” will be available at an open bar. Take-home packets of lefse also will be sold. Job fair: PT’s Entertainment Group, a division of Golden Entertainment Inc., is planning a job fair to staff its new PT’s Ranch location opening at South Durango Drive, just north of the 215 Beltway. The fair is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2 and from 2 to 6 p.m. Feb. 3 at the company’s Golden Entertainment Employment Center, 6595 S. Jones Blvd. The company also announced it will be opening a new Sierra Gold tavern sometime this summer at the site of the former Sedona Restaurant & Lounge on West Flamingo Road just east of the 215 Beltway. Chocolate and wine pairing class: The class is planned from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at Pinot’s Palette, 1000 S. Rampart Blvd., in Boca Park. One session is $69. Ryan Blvd. It is set to include two glasses of wine and light appetizers. The cost is $40 for the event or $150 for the series. Dine-N-Dash: Chef, author, philanthropist, and SLS Hotels Culinary Director Jose Andres is set to host Dine-N-Dash at the SLS Las Vegas, 2535 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Feb. 5, benefiting Andres’ nonprofit World Central Kitchen and Three Square food bank. Modeled after the chef’s annual Washington, D.C., restaurant crawl, the event is to be a culinary tour of SLS Las Vegas. General admission tickets start at $99, and VIP tickets start at $199. Via Brasil Carnival: The Brazilian party is planned for dinner Feb. 6 at Via Brasil Steakhouse, 1225 S. National Pizza Day: Flour & Barley at The Linq Promenade, 3535 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is set to celebrate the day, planned for Feb. 9, by offering The Mat Franco pizza, named for the magician performer. The vegetarian-friendly pie features toppings that were hand-picked by Franco, including grilled zucchini, roasted peppers, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms. Guests can also choose to have their pizza prepared with vegan cheese for an additional $1.50. Guests can receive a special offer to save $25 on tickets to see May Franco’s show.

Year of the Monkey celebration: The M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is planning to commemorate the Year of the Monkey with a Chinese New Year celebration to include dragon and lion dances, festive decorations and special menu items starting at 5 p.m. Feb. 8. Temple Sinai spaghetti dinner: The temple’s Youth Group is planning a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the temple, 9001 Hillpointe Road. Proceeds will be donated to Camp Sam, a summer camp experience in Lee Canyon tailored to the needs of physically and cognitively disabled adults, in support of camper scholarship funds. Splendor in the Glass: Southern Nevada Public Television plans its 27th annual Splendor in the Glass event from 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Westgate Las Vegas, 3000 Paradise Road. The event is set to feature 60 wineries and breweries, a live wine auction, a silent auction and a jazz ensemble. Valentine’s Day dinner: The dinner is offered Feb. 12-14 at Via Brasil Steakhouse, 1225 S. Fort Apache Road, and includes a $199 couples’ wine package in addition to the restaurant’s usual offerings. On Feb. 14, the restaurant will also offer a $54.99 Rodizio Sterling menu with 21 all-you-can-eat meats and one dessert per couple. Reset Project educational dinner: Create A Change Now recently announced its partnership with The Reset Project to bring continuous awareness and health education to families and the community. The pair are planning to host their first educational dinner, Inspire.Challenge.Engage, at 5:45 p.m. March 10 at Booker Elementary, 2277 Martin Luther King Blvd. The family-style dinner is set to feature celebrity chef Johnny Church and his prix fixe menu highlighting local farms and food artisans. Hoops & Hops: The three-day March College Basketball viewing experience is set to return to The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd. South, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 17-19. In addition to featuring betting stations (open at 7:30 a.m. each day) and multiple televisions throughout the venue, guests can try interactive experiences, including access to a basketball court, billiards, shuffleboard, blackjack, an onsite sports book and more. Buy a slice for veterans: Pizza Forte at Sunset Station, 1301 W. Sunset Road, now offers customers the option of buying a slice for a veteran. Customers will have the option of buying a Hofmann hot dog for $2, a slice of cheese pizza for $2 or an entire cheese pizza for $11.11. They will then be asked to write a thank you note on a pizza-shaped card that will be provided by Pizza Forte. Those notes will be hung up on the walls.
