Literary Las Vegas: Chelsea Ramsey

Las Vegas resident Chelsea Ramsey was searching for purpose in her life. She’d tried pursuing education in video game art and design, but it just wasn’t right. Finally, her mother asked her a life-changing question: “If you could choose to do anything, anything at all, what would it be?”

“What I would really, absolutely love to do, is write my stories,” she answered. “I would absolutely love to be an author.”

Ramsey’s first foray into fiction is “Brink: The Awakening,” a book packed with romance, friendship and a paranormal mystery — what is the strange force that is driving Luke to the brink of sanity?

Excerpt from ‘Brink: The Awakening’

Whatever had been watching him was back! And he could feel it? Luke suddenly realized that he wasn’t zoning anymore, but in place of feeling and seeing everything immediately around him, he could now feel this thing, whatever it was. It wasn’t like the first time though, when he could just feel that it was there. This time he could feel where it was, and he could feel it more sharply. It wasn’t just a general sensation.

Luke remained stationary for only a second longer before practically bolting for the front door. Whatever this thing was, it was about one hundred feet away from the apartment. He didn’t know how he knew this. He didn’t know how he could feel it, but he couldn’t just stand there.
