Participants will gain valuable knowledge about trade show and exhibiting tips as well as logistics for move in and move out. Urban League to host grand opening, ribbon cutting April 29

The Las Vegas Urban League has scheduled a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for April 29.

According to an Urban League news release, “The ceremony celebrates the relocation and consolidation of two customer service centers and multiple programs to create a one-stop customer service operations center. Those programs are: Family Development, Employment and Training, Educational Support, Community Development, Urban Youth Empowerment Program and the Re-Entry Initiatives Supporting Ex-Offenders Program.”

The event will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Las Vegas Urban League Main Office, 3575 W. Cheyenne Ave. Suite 101.

Jerry’s Nugget Casino launches

Prime Rib Eating Challenge

Jerry’s Nugget Casino has announced a Prime Rib Eating Challenge on National Prime Rib Day, April 27.

According to a casino news release, “The Prime Rib Eating Challenge includes the full consumption of the double cut prime rib meal, which consists of a dinner salad with croutons and choice of dressing, a 48-ounce prime rib [the thickest cut served], with baked potato, an ear of corn and one piece of garlic toast. Dessert is Jerry’s famous banana split. Participants are required to finish the meal in 45 minutes or less.

“Participants must be 18 or older and must present valid form of photo identification. Participants will also be required to sign a release of liability form.
