Now that the Mayan calendar and its “end of the world” predictors have been proved wrong, it’s time to ring in the New Year with parties, entertainment and all things fun-loving. Las Vegas earns its reputation as the party capital of the world year-round but really tops the charts on New Year’s Eve.

East-side venues prepare for year’s biggest party

Bishop Gorman grad grabs lead in Off-Broadway play

Tara Carbone, a 2008 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, used her triple-threat talents to wow casting director Holly Buczek, so much so that she was offered the lead role in the Off-Broadway show “Angelina Ballerina: The Very Merry Holiday Musical” without even auditioning in person for it.
