Missing Las Vegas teenager has been found

The Metropolitan Police Department on Thursday asked for the public’s help locating Byron Worthey-Avila, 16 who had last been seen about 2 p.m. Thursday in the east valley and may have been suffering from “severe emotional distress.”

 
Summerlin’s Stop the Bleed teaches lifesaving skills

Attendees at Summerlin Library learned how to tie a tourniquet, apply pressure to a wound and pack a wound with gauze to stop bleeding. During interactive breaks, people in the audience practiced tying tourniquets around one another’s limbs.

Henderson specialized license plate available Feb. 19 at DMV

Proceeds from license plate sales will go to the Henderson Historical Society, said director Denell Hahn. The Nevada Highway Patrol is reviewing the design to ensure it meets visibility standards, and the Historical Society will publicize the plates once they’ve been approved.
