Las Vegas morning update for Monday, October 16th — VIDEO

Here are your Monday headlines:

1. A 1-year-old boy is dead after a northeast valley hit-and-run. The child was playing in the street with other neighborhood children when he was struck by a blue four-door sedan. The parents were unaware that the child was outside. The driver fled the scene.

2. Thousands of people took to the Las Vegas Strip to honor the victims of the October 1 mass shooting. Walkers wearing “Vegas Strong” t-shirts walked from Circus Circus to Mandalay Bay and observed a moment of silence at 10:05 p.m., the time police say the shooter opened fire.

3. A woman who was shot in the head at the Route 91 Harvest festival is back in her home state for treatment. Tina Frost, 27, took her first steps Friday after a bullet entered her right eye and damaged her brain. Frost will now receive treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
