Las Vegas morning update for Monday, October 9th — VIDEO

Here are your Monday morning headlines:

1. Last night the marquees on the Las Vegas Strip went dark to honor the victim’s in last Sunday’s mass shooting. The lights went dark at 10:05 p.m., the time police say Stephen Paddock opened fire on the crowd at Route 91 Harvest festival. It lasted until 10:16 p.m., the reported time that the shooting had ended.

2. Stephen Paddock’s brother Eric is in Las Vegas and cooperating with authorities. The younger Paddock was interviewed after arriving in Las Vegas late Saturday and spent another five hours in a second interview Sunday. Paddock said he hopes to help “investigators understand what they’re seeing.”

3. Dana White said he was furious Saturday night after Jason Aldean opted to appear on Saturday Night Live instead of honoring shooting victims at UFC 216. White said Aldean’s manager told him Aldean was too affected by the incident and wouldn’t perform anytime soon. Aldean performed on SNL that night but came to Vegas Sunday to meet with victims at UMC.

4. Four people are in custody after a fatal crash on I-15 near Moapa Valley Sunday afternoon. Highway Patrol said a man died after a driver lost control and drove into oncoming traffic. Highway Patrol is investigating whether road rage was a factor.
