Las Vegas morning update for Tuesday, September 26th — VIDEO

Here are your Tuesday morning headlines:

1. A witness in a murder trial was hit by a car outside the downtown Las Vegas courthouse Monday. Queva Stafford was set to testify against Asa Brown, who’s accused of killing Jessie Bush, Stafford’s sister. While Stafford was on the sidewalk, a Cadillac sedan jumped the curb and struck her. The car was registered to the defendant’s mother, Shaquella Brown. Police confirmed they took a woman into custody late Monday afternoon.

2. The Oakland Raiders may not be in Vegas as soon as people thought. The San Francisco Chronicle reported late Monday that the Raiders may play in Oakland through the 2020 season, the same season the Clark County Commission hopes to have a $1.9 billion stadium finished in Las Vegas. The Raiders currently have an agreement to play at Oakland Alameda County Coliseum through 2018.

3. Clark County School District Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky will get a large payday when he retires in June. Skorkowsky has paid sick and vacation days totaling nearly $170,000 and will receive an estimated $19,000 monthly pension. The retirement comes amid a budget deficit by CCSD estimated at $50 million to $60 million.
