High wind warning hits Las Vegas Valley on last day of March

A high wind warning affected the Las Vegas Valley on Monday, the last day of March.

Parts of the valley saw southwest winds from 25 to 35 mph, with gusts reaching between 55 to 65 mph, the National Weather Service said.

Strong winds helped fuel a large vegetation fire that erupted Monday morning at Clark County Wetlands Park in the southeast valley, officials said.
