No. 1 pick Kyler Murray signs 4-year deal with Cardinals

TEMPE, Ariz. — The Arizona Cardinals have signed No. 1 overall draft pick Kyler Murray to a four-year contract worth about $35 million with a team option for a fifth.

The deal announced Thursday includes a signing bonus of more than $23 million.

Arizona also signed five other draft picks tor four-year contracts: cornerback Byron Murphy, defensive lineman Zach Allen, receiver KeeSean Johnson, offensive lineman Josh Miles and tighter end Caleb Wilson.

The Cardinals used the No. 1 pick on Murray, the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback from Oklahoma, a year after taking Josh Rosen with the No. 10 overall pick. Rosen was traded to Miami.

Murray accounted for more than 5,300 yards and 53 touchdowns after backing up Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield in 2017.
