Driver hits several parked cars, crashes car into North Las Vegas home

A driver who crashed into a North Las Vegas home Friday afternoon lied to police about a second hit-and-run driver causing the crash, police said.

North Las Vegas police spokeswoman Ann Cavaricci said the driver crashed into several parked vehicles before hitting the house at about 3:40 p.m. in the 6100 block of Casa Antiqua Street, near Pecos Road and Tropical Parkway.

The driver told police that another vehicle hit the parked cars before causing the driver to crash into the house, but Cavaricci said an investigators at the scene determined that was untrue after examining the car.

The driver was taken to the University Medical Center with minor injuries. No one else was injured in the crash.
