RJ High School Football Rankings — Sept. 13

Class 4A

1. Bishop Gorman (1-2, Last Week 1) — The Gaels have lost two games in a row for the first time since 2005-06.

2. Liberty (2-1, LW 2) — The Patriots got back on a track with a 28-7 win against Alta (Utah).

3. Arbor View (2-0, LW 3) — The Aggies’ game last week was washed out.

4. Foothill (2-0, LW 5) — After a bye last week, the Falcons play Friday at Chaparral.

5. Green Valley (3-0, LW 7) — The Gators waited out the rain, and beat Faith Lutheran in overtime.

6. Legacy (3-0, LW 6) — The Longhorns are 1-0 in league play and have triggered the running clock in all three games.

7. Faith Lutheran (0-2, LW 4) — The Crusaders are looking for their first win, and will go to Arbor View on Friday.

8. Shadow Ridge (2-0, LW 8) — The Mustangs had their game against Moapa Valley rained out, and scheduled Las Vegas for Friday instead.

9. Sierra Vista (1-1, LW unranked) — Who’s “the real SV?” The Mountain Lions will find out when they visit Spring Valley.

10. Basic (1-1, LW unranked) — The Wolves are ready to avenge last season’s upset loss to Canyon Springs.

Class 3A

1. Desert Pines (0-2, LW 1) — The Jaguars scored! …only to have the game postponed and the stats not count.

2. Moapa Valley (2-0, LW 2) — The Pirates come to the valley to play a surprising Mojave squad.

3. Chaparral (3-0, LW 3) — Fresh off a win in the ‘Cleat Game’, the Cowboys are one of three 3-0 Southern Nevada teams.

4. Mojave (2-1, LW unranked) — The Rattlers already have won more than they did all of last year.

5. Sunrise Mountain (2-1, LW 5) — The Miners have wins against two Class 4A teams in a season for the first time in school history.

Class 2A

1. Needles (2-0, LW 1) — The Mustangs came to town and beat Boulder City

2. Lincoln County (1-2, LW 2) — The Lynx had a tough time against Battle Mountain last week.

3. Lake Mead (1-0, LW 3) — The Eagles started their season with a nice victory over Indian Springs.

4. Laughlin (1-0, LW 4) — The Cougars were idle last week, and will play The Meadows on Thursday.

5. Democracy Prep (0-1, LW 5) — The Blue Knights were idle last week and will host Calvary Chapel.

Class 1A

1. Pahranagat Valley (2-0, LW 1) — The Panthers rolled over Independence last week, and host Carlin on Friday.

2. Spring Mountain (2-0, LW 2) — The Golden Eagles head to California, their only out-of-state trip.

3. Tonopah (2-1, LW 4) — The Muckers rebounded from an opening-week loss to outscore their next two opponents, 116-39.

4. Beatty (0-0, LW 3) — The Hornets open their season at home against Mammoth (California).

5. Indian Springs (0-2, LW 5) — The Thunderbirds have two losses, but they were both to Class 2A schools.
